Since its birth, NRC has always had a Green soul . And this commitment to create sunglasses that were not "only" beautiful to wear and super efficient, but also sustainable, has materialized year after year.
Leaving aside the classic slogans, our brand has concretely demonstrated that it has a very clear goal in mind: to create top-of-the-range and sustainable sunglasses .
To achieve this, we worked mainly on two fronts. On the one hand, we invested a lot of time and resources in Research & Development , tirelessly testing cutting-edge solutions and materials, in a constant search for the best performing solutions while respecting the environment.
On the other hand, we have opted for a counter-current choice: to keep the entire production chain here in Italy , even at the cost of giving up the many economic advantages deriving from outsourcing that our competitors benefit from.
However, giving up a part of the production process means losing full control of the final quality of the product and the environmental sustainability of the process itself. And we could never have allowed this.

All these efforts, however, have been fully rewarded by the results obtained. We are proud to say that our sunglasses are at the forefront of sustainability , and that we are on the right path to offering, in the near future, only 100% Green sunglasses.
100% Vegetable
Our flagship, from this point of view, is undoubtedly represented by the various models with frames made from 100% plant material .
By replacing traditional frames made from highly polluting and non-recyclable plastics, we have managed to create glasses that, at the end of their natural life cycle (which in the case of NRC glasses, made according to extremely high quality standards, is very long... in short, we are not talking about disposable glasses), will not weigh on the environment.
