When we created our revolutionary Earth line of sunglasses , with frames made from plant-based materials, we had already set new standards in sustainability . But that, of course, wasn't enough, because at NRC we are used to never settling and continually exceeding expectations.
So, for our new eyewear models we have decided to go even further: a new generation of sunglasses is about to arrive and many of these will feature a frame made from 100% plant-based material .
From outdoor and sports sunglasses to leisure sunglasses, these new models represent our concrete commitment to creating a better world , because we are deeply convinced that it is not worth achieving sensational performance if at the same time you do not worry about protecting the planet.
X1RR, X3, X4, X5, WX4 : these models, entirely designed and manufactured in Italy, will combine exceptional optical quality with full sustainability. In the coming weeks, as we reveal new, interesting details, you will have the opportunity to learn more.
Never stop improving yourself
In the meantime, we have already started to modify some existing models, making them greener than before. An example? You probably already know our very popular P.RIDE.HOCO , the sunglasses with the WOW EFFECT, right? Well, they now feature a frame made of 65% plant material. The same standard is applied to our new flagship, the LUXE.65 .
And this is just the beginning: one step at a time, we are committed to making all our sunglasses entirely sustainable . This effort is part of our commitment to excellence, our relentless desire to create something truly sensational.
Created in Italy to save the Planet
As mentioned above, our sunglasses are entirely designed and made in Italy . Not only because we are Italian, but also because we are convinced that we could not achieve the same quality standards anywhere else in the world.
Sure, we could have moved our production somewhere where everything is cheaper… but quality, of course, isn’t free. So we kept every step of our production process here in Italy, so we can control every little detail and ensure that our sunglasses are made with the best materials available, using cutting-edge technology and in a truly sustainable way.
It was a difficult choice, one that we risked paying dearly for. But looking now at our sunglasses, proudly created in Italy to save the Planet , we can say that it was definitely worth it.
